Brazilian Luta Livre is the martial art that gave birth to World Team Martial Arts. We are proud to have left an indelible mark within Luta Livre for different reasons.

To begin with, Mestre Rolando Carrizo Ortiz was the one who established the name Brazilian Luta Livre. He also created the first online learning tool for this discipline (LutaLivreUniversity.com) and structured the first Instructor Training Courses.

We have always been leaders in organization, structure, exam programs, etc.

 

In the sports field, we made history by obtaining the title of Budokan Cup champions on 5 occasions (facing and defeating the best floor wrestling teams in Brazil) and our athletes have been crowned champions on more than 20 occasions.

 

Master Rolando Carrizo Ortiz is a 6th Grade Faixa Preta (a degree that very few Masters have ever achieved officially and under the guidance of a Grand Master recognized in the history of Luta Livre). In addition, he is the non-Brazilian with the highest degree in this discipline.
